:00 in new york city. this is "the five." ♪ brand new details in the murder-suicide of n.f.l. star jovan belcher and cassandra perkins. the kansas city star and the "new york post" report that belcher spent the night drinking and partying with a girl named britney glass, at a popular bar district in downtown kansas city. belcher drove miss glass home, dropped her off and passed out in misbentley. 2:50 a.m., cops woke belcher up and told him not to drive. he called glass apt spent the next four hours in her apartment. at 6:45 a.m., he drove the bentley to his home where girlfriend perkins recently arrived with her own night out with friends. argument ensued and belcher shot perkins nine times. belcher's mother and baby were there for the shooting. after killing perkins, belcher kissed the lifeless body, walk toed his mother, kissed his baby girl and left. he drove five miles to the chiefs' practice field after several minutes of pleading with him, they couldn't talk belcher off the ledge. belcher thanked the coaches, knelt down beside a car, made a sign of a cross and put a shot to his fa

: police in webster, new york, found human remains today in the burned-out home where a gunman ambushed firefighters on christmas eve. the victim appeared to be william spengler's sister. he left a note saying he wanted to burn down the neighborhood and kill people. spengler set fire to his house, then shot four firefighters-- killing two-- before killing himself. he had a revolver, a shotgun, and a bushmaster rifle, the same model used in the newtown school shooting. >> i can't tell you at this time what the victims were shot with. we assume it w the rifle because of the distance. it's going to go to the medical examiner. they'll have the autopsies done. >> holman: two firefighters remained hospitalized today in stable condition. the fire spengler set ultimately burned seven homes. the election commission in egypt confirmed today the new constitution won nearly 64% of the vote in a referendum. the panel also reported turnout was just a third of the country's 52 million registered voters. president mohammed morsi and his muslim brotherhood backed the draft constitution. opponents warned

, obviously, to a new york times reporter who didn't describe this as movement of the chemical weapons. what makes it different this time was it was described as the syrians taking steps in preparation for use. that's far more serious and far more concerning to american and regional officials if syria is undertaking activity that looks like the preparation for the deployment of these chemical weapons. remember, you mentioned, brooke, turkey. also jordan. we have -- there are regional allies and neighbors there who would be directly threatened. and, of course, the syrian foreign minister, while not acknowledging that syria has chemical weapons, we know that to be a fact, said they wouldn't use -- syria wouldn't use it against its own people. it did not rule out using it against its regional neighbors. the secretary of state clinton made quite clear that this would be crossing a red line for the united states. >> you know, i was reading an article, fran, daily beast this morning talking about they called it al qaeda 3.0. and they point out that the long they are bloody civil war continues in s
